5 Ways the Right Web Hosting Company Can Transform Your E-Commerce Business

Staff Blog Series – Derek

Activity in the e-commerce marketplace is at an all-time high. Consumer biases and behaviors are shifting towards digital shopping, and companies both large and small are scrambling to adapt to the new changes. In 2020, e-store sales accounted for 15.5% of global retail sales and are expected to hit the 22% mark by 2023.

As e-commerce continues to thrive, competition for the digital space has become fierce. You may need a reputable web hosting company to manage your web services for you to remain relevant within the industry. Here are several ways that website hosting services can transform your business.

1. Build Your Online Presence

48% of consumers start their mobile research with a search engine. Your website acts as a digital billboard to showcase your products or services to the right target audience at the appropriate time. A professional web hosting company can ensure that your site remains up 24/7, allowing potential customers to locate and identify with your business. Tied to an excellent web design, you can grow the brand’s awareness, giving you an edge over your competition.

2. Improved Site Performance

Your site’s performance plays a critical role when it comes to succeeding in the digital marketplace. You have little time to capture your audience’s attention before they bounce off your site. 53% of mobile uses will abandon a site if it takes more than three seconds to load, with 10% leaving after two.

Your slow loading speeds will measure poorly on user experience metrics, which affects your site’s ranking on search engines. You can beat all these issues with a quality web hosting company. You may not have to worry as your digital marketing efforts start to pay off and your traffic increases.

3. Reliable Technical Support

Website crashes can be detrimental to your e-commerce operations. You may need a web hosting company that has a dedicated technical support team over and above the 99.99% uptime guarantee. Every minute that your website is down, your business could be bleeding money. You may lose a huge number of web traffic resulting in a revenue loss. By choosing professional web hosting, you receive round-the-clock technical support that will resolve your issues quickly.

4. Improved Website Security

Data breaches are becoming a growing concern for most entrepreneurs as regulators push for more legislation on cybersecurity. While it may be impossible to know where your next threat may come from, it is essential to ensure that your website is secure as much as possible. Choosing the right web hosting company is the foundation of your site’s security. Their firewalls, security patches, and plugins can reduce the risk of your site getting hacked.

5. Domain-Associated Email Addresses

Brand building is an excellent way to guarantee revenue in the foreseeable future. A web hosting company can help you portray professionalism by providing domain-associate email addresses for your staff. You may also receive a number of premium email management tools that will be convenient for your digital marketing campaigns.

A professionally designed website may require a reliable web host to keep the site fast and functional. For web hosting services in Knoxville, TN, reach out to South Made. We can help design and host your e-commerce website that will transform your business.
